Note: The Retreat is a historic structure and important part of Oatlands history, and is believed to date to the early 19th century. As such, enslaved and free people have shaped this space for over 200 years. Your rentals support the important education, programming and preservation work of Oatlands as we seek to not only preserve but share the stories of all those who lived at this plantation. We ask all who lease The Retreat to further the work of Historic Preservation by being mindful and considerate of the building in their activities.
