Guided Visit

A guided visit to Oatlands is far from a tour, it is an hour with a public historian or educator, enabling you to immerse yourself in the site’s history across a wide range of topics.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your mansion visit and check in at the Visitor Center in the Carriage House. Tours start promptly at the designated time.

All guided experiences enable you to stay as long as you want, so plan to leave enough time to explore the gardens, have a picnic or take a hike.

Due to the warmth of the mansion during the summer, guided tours are available Thursday through Monday at 11 a.m. during the month of August. Visitors may buy tickets in advance or walk in that day. Guided tours at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. are available by advance purchase only.

Advanced purchase of visits must be done 24 hours prior.

Oatlands will be closed for regular tours and public visitation on September 20 for the Garden Soirée. The public is invited to purchase tickets here if you wish to attend the event.
