Oatlands Historic House & Gardens in Leesburg, Virginia recently completed a full restoration of its front lawn balustrade and adjacent Victorian fence. Years of weather damage had taken a toll on the original woodwork, so in 2024 the National Trust teamed up with Shenandoah Planing Mill to rebuild the features using a more durable hardwood and make improvements for better longevity. The project wrapped up in 2025, returning this iconic garden feature to a safe and beautiful condition for visitors to enjoy.
