Supporting Oatlands’ Preservation Initiatives

There are some things so significant that once they are gone, they cannot simply be recreated.

Oatlands belongs not only to the past, but to all of us! By gathering in support of its preservation, we become part of a long tradition of stewardship that ensures future generations can experience the beauty, history, and inspiration found here today.

This year’s Soirée will support the preservation of the Oatlands Mansion’s Corinthian capitals, these are the decorative caps crowning its iconic columns. These remarkable architectural features help define the beauty and character of Oatlands. Their restoration is not only about preserving a structure, but about caring for the craftsmanship, labor, and layered histories embedded in this place. A generous matching grant will amplify the impact of the first $15,000 raised, helping launch this important preservation effort.

Additional proceeds will support the restoration of Oatlands’ historic Smokehouse and Garden Dependency, as well as other stewardship initiatives that protect the beauty, integrity, and historic significance of the estate for future generations.
