Guided Visit
A guided visit to Oatlands is far from a tour, it is an hour with a Public Historian or Educator enabling you to immerse yourself in the site’s history across a wide range of topics with depth, guided by those with expertise. Specialized experiences including: Oatlands: The Plantation, Oatlands’s Eustis Revival, Architecture, The Women of Oatlands, The Gardens, and the Landscape of Slavery rotate throughout the month, check our Events Calendar for up-to-date details, and reserve your spot before they sell out!
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your mansion visit and check in at the Carriage House Visitor Center. Tours start promptly at the designated time.
All Guided experiences enable you to stay as long as you want, so plan to leave enough time to explore the gardens, have a picnic or take a hike.
Guided visits are offered on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. Walk-ins accepted if space available.
Special Programs will be offered on Sundays. Check again soon for more information!
Advanced purchase of visits must be done 24 hours prior.
Guided tour at 3:00 on December 26 is sold out. Call for additional times.
