Children’s Class (Ages 5-7) – Virtual Intro to Painting Flowers and Fruits with Kate Lanxner

About the class:
A children’s class for watercolor and acrylic, on watercolor paper and small canvases. Students will learn the basics: holding the brush, mixing, and applying the paint, as well as stenciling. For questions and materials list: expressionslane@gmail.com. Ages 5-7.
About: Kate Lanxner
Kate Lanxner has been an art instructor in the D.C. region since 2016, and previously in Burlington, Vermont and Geneva, Switzerland for more than twenty-five years. Kate is a printmaker and an illustrator for books, magazines, newspapers. She has also completed calligraphy projects, outdoor signs, and co-produced an award-winning children’s neighborhood newspaper of children’s creative art and writing with her daughter, Sierra.
Kate has a B.F.A. in Art Ed. /Printmaking at Tyler School of Art; She completed printmaking studies at Atelier Contrepoint, Paris.
