Portrait and Still Life Painting and Drawing with a Model | Nine Week Series, Instructor: Marcia Klioze

About the class:
Develop basic drawing and painting skills with a costumed model. We will incorporate the still life around the model to develop the “narrative”, keeping in mind composition, classical, and representational drawing. Focus will be on the “grisaille” (painting in shades of gray) to develop the drawing before applying color. Concentration on scale, value, temperature, edges, and the importance of negative space.
- Painting and drawing demonstrations provided each day.
- Plenty of individual attention.
- Model fees are not included.
- Minimum age is 16 and must have parent written permission if not 18 years old.
