Given the evolving situation with the COVID-19 virus, Oatlands will be closed to the public until June 10. Like you, we will be monitoring the situation continuously, and we will be following the guidance of the CDC, the government and our owner The National Trust for Historic Preservation. The safety of visitors and staff is Oatlands’ top priority.
We will continue to offer a 10% discount on our memberships, so that when we do reopen you can enjoy unlimited access to our 400 beautiful acres, garden and trails. Membership will be honored for a year from the day we open. The membership fees and donations are an important part of Oatlands’ ability to maintain and enhance the grounds and historic structures.
We’ve made many renovations to the buildings and grounds at Oatlands, and we’ve been working on projects like turning Elizabeth Carter’s diary into a book. We will be sharing the best of Oatlands for free in the coming weeks through our website, oatlands.org, as well as blog posts, videos, Instagram and Facebook. We hope you enjoy our fun and educational social media posts. Thank you very much for your years of patronage. We look forward to seeing you back at Oatlands in person as soon as possible.
